LeBron James has been at the center of many conversations in sports media over the last few days.
Of course, he is always a big subject for the press, but things have been different this week.
James made public statements about the state of the media and sports analysts and complained about how the NBA is covered, saying the reporting has “gotten away from the essence of the sport of basketball.”
On Thursday morning, Kendrick Perkins pushed back against James’ words.
“LeBron James need to stop. He needs to stop. I’m so sick of him with this ‘Oh, how the league is covered’ because he wanted to be covered a certain way,” Perkins said, per NBACentral.

It seems that this back and forth between James and the media is going to continue.
By responding to James, Perkins essentially made his point because he isn’t speaking about the Lakers or the upcoming playoffs or anything specific about basketball.
Instead, everyone is arguing about personalities and opinions.
A lot of NBA fans have grown upset at this current spat between James and the media because they want to enjoy real reporting about the league, especially since the playoffs are right around the corner.
Will this come to an end any time soon, or will Perkins, James, Stephen A. Smith, and others continue to bicker?
Perkins said sports journalism and the press haven’t changed much since he came into the league, but James disagrees, and he might respond soon.
Opinions aren’t going to be changed about this subject, but they are obviously going to be shared.
