There is a very real possibility that the Detroit Pistons will face the New York Knicks in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
If that happens, Detroit rookie Ron Holland isn’t a bit concerned.
Speaking to the press following the Pistons’ 115-106 win over the Knicks on Thursday night, Holland laid it out plainly.
“We bring that Detroit Bad Boys to every single game we play. And if New York is the team we end up playing, we gonna bring it every single night,” Holland said, per New York Basketball.

This is not what Knicks fans want to hear because the Pistons have been able to get past New York multiple times this season.
In fact, Detroit has defeated the Knicks three times in a row.
Everyone knows the Pistons are a completely different team this season, light years ahead of where they were in 2023-24.
The Knicks likely didn’t expect them to be so competitive all year, but they have learned they are not to be taken lightly.
The Pistons are the sixth seed in the East with a 44-26 record, while the Knicks are the third seed with their 50-30 record.
The Knicks could slide around a bit because the Indiana Pacers are right behind them, but the chances are high that the Knicks and Pistons square off in the opening round.
All Detroit players sound confident and ready to fight.
They have proven they have what it takes repeatedly during the regular season and believe they can do it again in the playoffs.
They won’t have to wait much longer to show what they can do in the postseason, and all of their fans are eagerly waiting.
